Loving Life Along The Rhine

My friend Laura and I took a train to Frankfurt and rode north from there up the Rhine River. My father is writing a book about the route and we were double checking his work to make sure he had his distances correct. Everything looked good and the book will be out soon. Maybe next summer I think?

Deutschland Is Green And Red

I spent the summer of 2007 riding my bicycle around Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. Much of my time was spent with a family near Helmstedt, Germany. I would leave my stuff at the house and go out on long day rides to the neighboring towns. This photo was taken while cycling north of Helmstedt. I took the photo myself by perching my camera on top of an old wooden sign post.
